Some of the themes during the year include trains, weather, and the human body. The children participate in cooking, building, painting, and many other experiences. The group size is limited to allow for much hands-on experimentation.

The 3-year-old lunch bunch program is a 1½ hour extension to the regular morning class. Some of the activities the children participate in are creative art activities, story time, games, work with manipulatives and outdoor play. The children bring their lunch and are provided ample time for eating and socializing.

The afternoon begins with a free choice period where the children are able to choose from a variety of activities including creative art, dramatic play, block building, and readiness games. NEW for the 2013-2014 school year!

The Kindergarten Enrichment Program is offered to children currently enrolled in a half day kindergarten program. The children have an opportunity to extend the school day with a certified teacher and engage in a variety of activities involving literacy, math, creative art, science and technology. Through hands on, multisensory activities the children will discover that learning is fun and happens all around them. Extending the kindergarten experience with KEP at Archer allows for children to continue learning, exploring and socializing with peers in an environment that fosters independence while building self esteem. Please contact Archer Nursery School for more information about the KEP Program.
